Every year UPHC host events that are HUGE in our calender that are always a great way to celebrate a season, and bond with the rest of the club.
- Summer and Winter Balls
Your social secretaries organise two balls - Summer and Winter. These are chances to celebrate the first half of the season before Christmas, and the final half of the season just after the Easter break.
- Alumni weekend
Once a year, in the third term, your Club Captains organise a weekend of fun and all things hockey where Alumni members return to Plymouth and re-live their university days. The weekend kicks off with a Friday night out, followed by friendly matches on the saturday afternoon - always a great weekend and somthing to look forward too even when you've graduated!

Every year we re-elect the committee members to take the roles for the next academic year. Anyone can stand for a committee role with a wide range of important positions to be filled; from Chairs to Treasurers to Kit Secretaries. Click HERE for a complete list of committee positions offered by each side.
Usually around the Easter period, UPHC go on their annual travels to a city chosen by our beloved Tour Secs. Previous tours have includedRimini, Amsterdam, Prague and a host of other cities across Europe! With a week full of hockey, partying and other fun events, it is definitely an experience to look forward to. Club legends are made on these tours - could you become one of them?
An event for the sporting calendars. Every year the University of Plymouth goes up against its rival University of St Mark and St John in a sporting event the university prides itself on, and hockey is no exception. A key date in the diary of many a UPHC member, UPHC 1st XI teams go up against Marjon to fight to be the best hockeying uni in Plymouth! This is then followed in the evening by the 'Olympiad', an event which the whole club takes part in. With many saying this is the best night in the hockey calendar, it is definitely not one to be missed! See our Varsity page for more information.
