Mens 2XI Vs PGSOB B

Plymouth uni A turn up the heat against PGSOBB Last saturday saw plymouth uni A travel across the city to play PGSOB 3XI.

After being punished at the death by an experienced ISCA team the week before, the 2s met thirsty for their first points of the season. With the sun beating down on brickfields pleasure beach the game pushed back. First blood was to the hosts, who scored after CB Smartie gave up possession trying to run from the back; dish it next time pal. After this the 2s returned to the driving seat repeatedly surging forward and laying siege to the PGSOB D. The pressure eventually paid off with the men in an assortment of white shirts jogging for half time with the score at one all. The second half saw uni continue to turn the PGSOB D into Swiss cheese with the shorts raining in resulting in two more goals. With the sun still scorching and a 2 goal lead the uni played out the game with some relentless passing. BB and the perpetual flower, Finnerty, both impressed their hockey comrades enough to set up a refreshing 2 way M.O.M pint off at pres (but I couldn't tell you who won as I don't remember pres). All in all a great game and a well deserved 3 points for the A-team.

After teas, the mighty 2's went to support their brothers in arms, the 4's, at Fort Lipson, where they witnessed the 4's first goal of the season.
